We have pioneered a variety of improvements in the design of performance exhaust systems. Alex Borla currently holds several US patents for innovative exhaust system technology, and the company has won numerous "Best New Product" awards in the industry. Every BORLA Cat-Back™ system, Header and Rear Section is made from austenitic stainless steel (superior to 409 or aluminized steel) employing mandrel-bent tubing, all-welded construction, and is designed for accurate fit and easy installation. Nearly 30 years experience and special merge collector technology provide the ultimate in power and endurance. The performance advantages of a BORLA are widely recognized. The top engine builders in the racing world rely on BORLA exhaust for maximum performance. In fact, BORLA is at the forefront of the movement toward responsible racing with our full line of patented, award and race-winning racing mufflers that not only maintain a race engine’s power, but in some instances actually add power. This technology is incorporated into BORLA exhaust for the street, providing 7-10% increased horsepower and torque when you plant your foot, and improved gas mileage at cruising speeds. Millions of exhaust systems are replaced every year due to corrosion and poor performance. Automotive exhaust gases are a mix of carbon monoxide, oxides of nitrogen, unburned hydrocarbons and moisture. These gases condense and attack the system internally. Elements such as corrosive salts, moisture and mud contribute to exterior deterioration. These elements combined with equipment vibration, high temperatures, emission control requirements, uneven road surfaces, and varying traffic patterns make it easy to understand the need and demand for a long-lasting exhaust system. BORLA systems are built to withstand these destructive conditions -- we guarantee it for a Million Miles. BORLA exhaust is built of aircraft-quality austenitic stainless steel -- stainless inside and out, not mild steel, not aluminum, not coated aluminum, not just wrapped with stainless on the outside for show. Coating techniques, such as aluminizing, can somewhat prolong the life of mild steel, but coatings suffer at the weld points. And, comparing aluminized steel to T-304 stainless steel is like comparing gold-plated metal to solid gold! T-304 stainless steel has the highest chromium content, making it the most resistant to corrosion and therefore the most desirable material for a long-lasting exhaust system. Note: Only the flanges are not stainless. In our twenty-year experience, we have found the 3/8"--1/2" flanges are so thick they will never affect the performance or longevity of the system. Million Mile Warranty/1,600,000 Kilometres BORLA PERFORMANCE INDUSTRIES, INC. warrants its products to the original purchaser of record and for the original vehicle on which the product was installed, against defects in materials and workmanship for one million miles. This does not include blemishes or marring of appearance due to weather, road hazards, lack of maintenance or extremes of heat or cold. This warranty shall apply only if BORLA's examination of the returned product discloses a manufacturing or material defect, and BORLA's sole obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repair or replacement at BORLA's option. Note all attachment to universal mufflers must be made at the nipples; there should be no welding to the shell or end caps as this will void the warranty.
